Show Notes: From Suburb to City: Nestlé USA Harnesses the Power of Urban | An interview with Dawn Striff, Nestlé USA (Podcast)

Agile. Connected. A catalyst.

Those three words stand out in describing Nestlé USA in its new location. Now calling Rosslyn, Va., home, the company is embracing the urban district near the axis of the bustling DMV region that centers on Washington, D.C. In July 2018, the world’s largest food and beverage provider moved its US headquarters across the country from its longtime suburban home in Glendale, Calif., to Rosslyn. Behind the effort was a desire to be closer to its largest consumer base on the East Coast, capitalize on strategic opportunities for new innovation, revitalize the company culture in a downtown environment, and have a finger on the pulse of the nation’s capital. Gensler’s Southeast Design Experience Leader Jill Goebel was the designer at the helm of the headquarters project that would transition teams from Glendale to Rosslyn while welcoming new team members into the Nestlé USA family.

In today’s podcast episode, Jill Goebel speaks with Nestlé USA’s Head of Corporate Real Estate & Facilities Dawn Striff to discuss the vital role of change management in facilitating the company’s large-scale move and how the new headquarters’ design has impacted the culture, mission, community involvement, and workplace productivity of Nestlé USA.
