Though the senior citizens of yesteryear might have dreamed of gated retirement communities in Florida, a growing number of senior citizens today are choosing to either move back to the city or to stay in their homes throughout their lives. This trend is often referred to as ‘aging in place,’ and it represents a paradigm shift for an increasingly active demographic of retiring baby boomers.
